Kari Samantha (born April 28th on 1967) Wuhrer is an American actress and performer. Wuhrer started her career when she was in her teens. She is best known for her character Maggie Beckett on the TV show Sliders and also as the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the thriller-comedy movie Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was born in Brookfield Connecticut as the daughter of Karin Noble, who worked as a cashier, as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer. Her family has given her three brothers. As a child she sang in nightclubs, and then went on to sing. After studying acting at the Wooster School, at 13 years old, she pursued a degree in drama at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts located at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Additionally, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the famed Uta Hagen. She was born a Brookfield native was born in Brookfield Connecticut, on 28th April 1967. Her father is a German American policeman and a salesperson for autos. Kari has 3 siblings. She sang in nightclubs as a teenager sneaking out of the house to sing. Kari at the time was thirteen years old, was enrolled at the Wooster School as well as Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She was also a student in Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where she had a teacher renowned as Uta. Kari started acting at the age of a teenager. Her breakthrough came in 1987 with MTV Remote Control.
