Lisa Edelstein is an American actress, best known for her roles in House, a Fox medical drama, House. Her family was from Wayne where she was a part of a traditional Jewish tradition. When she was 18, she moved into New York City to study at Tisch School of the Arts. Soon after, she was involved in club culture, causing enough of a stir that she caught the attention of the media. She utilised both her experience in the music industry and public recognition to create and star in a brand new musical called Positive Me. Then, she was hired by MTV to host Awake On The Wild Side. When the show was over, she started appearing in the film and television industry, beginning with small parts, but gradually establishing her acting career.
