Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback performer and a musician who works mostly in Tamil as well as Malayalam film languages. She first made an appearance as an actor in the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut in Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah is an Anglo-Indian born at Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father works as a lawyer in the Madras High Court. Her younger sister is a research assistant from Belgium and is employed in Leuven. Jeremiah comes originally from Chennai. She went to National Public School, and after that, she graduated Women's Christian College. Andrea started the classical piano at eight years old, was described as being a "geek" and was aspiring to be a psychiatric until her board exam in 12th grade. Young Stars, a Jackson Five group that she joined when she was 10 was the foundation for singing and composing music. She was performer in the college, in a variety of performances organized by The Madras Players or EVAM. Andrea was the president of The Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her career in theatre with Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. She was featured in the leo coffee commercial alongside Shiva. Also, she was a part of the serial that was broadcast on Podhigai channel. The actress has appeared all over India. She had a small role in the Kanda Mudhal final (2005). She sang in a song to Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu. The director asked her to join the female lead characters for Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea performed the role of Kalyani the housewife whose husband has an affair with someone else. Andrea was picked to play the role after Simran and Tabu were two actors who were approached by the producers. It was released early in 2010. She agreed in 2011 to perform a tiny support role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha, which came out in August 2011. In 2013 she began her career in Malayalam film with Rajeev Ravi's romantic movie Annayum Rasoolum.
