Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in the city of Decatur, Illinois. LeAnnekymes and she were both among the youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss is an American singer-songwriter and bluegrass country musician. She was born on July 23, 1971. Her career in music began in the early years, winning local contests by the age of 10 and recording her first album at 14. The year 1987 was when she released her debut solo album following being signed to Rounder Records. She was asked to join Alison Krauss & Union Station who she is a part of.
